Milestone

by Ashley Marshall (14)

I stand on the brink of the Great Divide.
Behind me stands the monuments and skeletons of my past.
Ahead, the future lies enshrouded in the folds of uncertainty.
Below me, far down the rocky cliffs, the waves of the ocean batter the
sands.
I look around me one last time at all that my life was then turn forward
to all
that it will be.
I take a deep breath and, with my mind set in determination... jump off
the
cliff.
