I Forgive You

by Kimberly Schmaltz (13)

I forgive you.
I forgive you for lying,
And deceiving me.
And I forgive you for,
Kissing her,
For holding her,
For looking deep into her eyes.
But I can’t forgive you for having to test your love for me,
I always knew how I felt about you,
I never had to test my love,
But you did.
You weren’t sure if you loved me.
And that hurts,
It hurts more than the fact that
Your lips touched hers,
And she was in your arms.
You chose to go out with her.
You weren’t supposed to do that.
Now we have nothing,
Because I love you.
I’ve always known that.
And there was never a single doubt in my mind.
I’m sorry,
But it’s over.
I’ve given you three chances,
And you had your three strikes.
