Heroin Boy

by Starlene Madsen (15)

see through his dark blury eyes with all the bones picked clean in his illusions.
it's running through his veins, he says it makes him feel sane.
he let's me tear his heart out again and again.
obvious attraction of our minds and our souls.
you're too blind to see the darkness.
bliss captures us away.
with blood on his lips and scars on his arms, he is the one with ink-pool eyes.
he dies in silence, rots in shame.
he says nothing's real, that it's all an illusion.
I'm wrapped up in this confusion.
I'm watching him go down, yeah, I'm watching him drown.
