He has the skeleton key, so hide not.
He muffles your voice, so scream not.
He possesses blinding speed, so run not.
But he means well, so fear not.
Insanely fleeing from what is not what is thought,
not knowing why you're running,
but still in motion due to overwhelming doubt.
Your heart bangs like a shotgun,
you choke on your own fear, and
reluctantly turn to view the horror.
Its shadow creeps up on you,
solely heard footsteps knock louder and louder.
You see the predator who chased you, and
find out you were afraid of nothing fierce,
