Haunted

by Crystal Jonathan (15)

Meaningless words on a paper;
never to be read.
Foolish girl,
Always wants to be perfect.
So pessimistic,
Never smiling inside.
You can see her breaking down
if you look into her eyes.
Her past haunts her
and the present doesn't seem to understand
What it's like
to live a world inside her flustered little head.
She's stuck in between,
believing sad memories are repeating themselves.
If only she'd realize
by looking back
she's becoming someone else...

No one thinks she's changed
Because she believes she's as miserable as before.
Someone please inform her,
by looking back she proves
she's there no more.
