Field of Dreams

by Sarah Soukoroff (17)

There is this place I like to go
A place to hide, no one will know
And in this place life's not what it seems
I call this hideaway, my field of dreams

I lay down inhaleing the roses scent
And ponder over words once meant
When I close my eyes I dream of you
And all the good things we've been through

In this field I was the best
I was the greatest, I outdid the rest
No one there to say I'm bad
No one there to make me mad

Then one day it all disapeared
The worst thing, I now feared
No longer was this my field of dreams
And I face the world as it seems

There was this place I used to go
A place to hide, no one would know
And in this place life was not what it seemed
I called this hideaway, My field of dreams
