Dying Night Thoughts

by Amanda Proctor (15)

At night I lay awake,
Flat on my back.
Afraid for my life,
Afraid of dying.
Insomnia is troublesome
For it installs thoughts.
My mind wanders and
The topic is death.
I fear sleeping
For at night I might die
While I am in slumberland.
