Weeping softly
she removes her clothes.
Of all the world
herself she loathes.
Turns on the faucet
and fills the tub.
Listen to the
sweet, melodic glug.
Hopeless hands with
a trembling blade.
Stainless steel
will be her maid.
One swift strike
would end it all.
Don't be afraid
to take the fall.
Steel meets flesh
the flesh must give.
Desperate now
she wants to live.
Deep red fluid
flows from her veins.
Taunting the water,
this crimson rain.
Cheeks are streaked
with glistening tears.
She ruled her life,
but Death reigns here.
