Falling apart,
Life seemed so worthless, pointless.
Days passed without any hint of productivity,
Months spent alone and in sorrow.
Unclaimed feelings surface,
No longer able to be hidden
Too strong, too burning.
The yearning desire to be whole again
To laugh and to smile,
To change the outlook on life.
Once again the demons return,
Waiting for the saints to come,
And shoo them away.
They come, the saints
Baring light.
A welcome moment of peace,
Only to be mocked away,
By the dark clouds in the sky.
A war raged on in my soul,
The struggle all in my hands.
The fate that lay in destiny,
Now left up to me.
Depending on my will to believe,
To believe in happiness
And a will to live
A will to live for that day,
For that day and the next.
Carpe Diem!
