An emptiness has been consumed with your need
The sorrow breaks you, you're falling to you knees
Loneliness, forthcoming pain, you're aching now
All of what you've known of
Has fallen to the ground
Slowly overtaking your mind with thoughts
All of what could be, and now you know is lost
You frantically search
And you find nothing
In the distance you hear a soft little sound
Of tears dripping off your chin
To stop your pain and aching
Will be a hard to overcome
You work your hardest
To strive your farthest
And still nothing comes around
As you drop to your knees and begin to pray
You imagine the light of the new breaking day
And try to realize it's not all gone
You still have your hope that you'll rely on
To fulfill your emptiness that's grieving so bad
And take away the sorrow that's making you sad
The loneliness forthcoming, the pain that you felt
Is now blown from your mind,
As you look at yourself,
As you notice,
You're alive
