Sponges paint a fiery sunshine
Clueless lines make shades of grey
Mountains range a country skyline
A V-formation points the warmway
The brittle lawn crackles-crumbling
The painted watercolor falls to rest
As hunted game runs, rumbling
A time of survival, the ultimate test
The greying sky covers goldenrod light
A season turns the switch is set
The black falls faster as dusk introduces night
Tingling flakes fall soon, then wet
Another moon has gone and laid
As the sun arises, the land it rayed
