The Return of the Goddess

Ten thousand years I have been sleeping
and now I am being awakened.
My heavy eyelashes are the woods;
They are beckoning.
My heart, the clouds are surprised
Because they are calling me, calling me.
My earth body is bedecked
with a thousand flowers,
Many breasts of mine,
The mountains joyfully rearing their tips,
They are calling, they are calling!
I want to embrace all the sad and the lost.
All wrongs my hands shall doom to death.
I am the defender of every woman, man, and child
As I am the defender of my holy self.
Earthmother I am, the Only One;
Everything sprang from me;
I carry the seed of all creation;
I am the bestower of life alone.
Oh, oh, oh, I am awake!
Oh, I am answering th call....
