Prior to using a candle for any specific purpose, you may want to anoint it. Rub a small amount of oil into the wax with your bare hands- starting at the middle and working toward the top, then from the middle to the bottom. Keep in your mind that which you wish to accomplish.
An ancient practice of Witchcraft, candle dressing is said to put your psychic energy into the candle.
The color of the candle is considered significant. If the proper color is not available, white is usually an accepted replacement.
