Satanic Geeks
For the past few months, there has always been at least one Satanic Geek posting in Holysmoke at all times....striking fear with misplaced curses, malodorous posting and Oogy Boogy languages. Oh, and let's not forget the suicide WHILE POSTING, complete with the message stopping half way through (but somehow managing to get itself posted later on...). Such Kiddie Darksiders all too often put up websites:

The Satanic Network There's a lot of stuff here. I haven't looked it over in depth yet, but I did notice a section called "Messages from Lucifer"

November Picks
Notice that there are no November picks? That's for a few reasons...for starters, I haven't had time to read much of Holysmoke in the last couple of weeks. I'm currently about 3000 messages behind, and the very idea of even TRYING to catch up gives me the shakes. I'll be answering a few of the posts I owe others, and then wiping the whole works unread. The other problem is, what little I DO know about what's going on in there seems to revolve around accusations of lying and one particularly unpleasant putz who is shortly going to find out that you do NOT screw around with Styx or FIDO. Now, I don't have any idea how to create links referencing either one of those situations. However, I'd really like to have something here for November, so I am begging (I'd draft you, but you 'Smokers are SUCH an independant bunch..) someone...anyone...who IS reading Holysmoke to send me email and tell me what the big discussions are all about right now...with links if you got 'em!Lynda Bustilloz, aka "cattybtch"

Michael Martinez' Crackpot AIDS Theory
A couple months ago, the echo was taken over by a heated discussion between, oh...everyone and one Michael Martinez, who asserted that AIDS was not contagious. Although he never openly revealed his purpose for making this his cause in numerous echos (he came to Holysmoke after having been kicked off of just about every other echo in Fido), the following sites may shed some light on what he was really after.
Folks, be sure to weigh in with your opinions on this. I still have found nothing online to directly refute this garbage.

Mike Hardy began talking about Mr. Behe's work in Design Theory a couple months ago, after receiving a prepublication copy of his book. I searched for information on Michael Behe, and came up with the following. A couple of notes -- every informative resource I found comes from a Christian publication or site...whether or not Mr. Behe's intent is to present a religious point of view (insistance on "science only" aside), his views are apparently far more compelling to the Christian community than the scientific community. Secondly, I found NOTHING in refutation. If you know of a site that addresses Mr. Behe's views let me know. I will also post a well-reasoned rebuttal here, if anyone would like to send me one.
