Too many rights may be dangerous

As heinous and appalling a crime that occurred in Wyoming, I felt I still needed to comment on Enquirer columnist Cliff Radel’s column "Denying gays equal rights shames us all" [Oct. 16]. As a mother of three children who will possibly be facing a lethal AIDS epidemic that may lead to the eradication of the entire human race (unless a cure is found), I am extremely concerned that giving gays too many rights will only lead to an increased risk for innocent children and adults. These gays are perpetuating a deadly disease by their reckless lifestyle. They are oblivious to having any concern for the innocent heterosexual community.

One law that should be enforced immediately is one that would bar all gays from the

food industry. I was a flight attendant with a major airline who often worked with gay stewards who would cough and sneeze on the food, then serve it to the passengers. Who is protecting the children and adults who have to eat that food? Why should a passenger have to eat food that has been contaminated with body fluids and possible blood from a cut finger? Let’s start protecting the innocents rather than the gays.
