(A) Education
affects all subsequent behavior. Mainly it can make a positive difference
in the life of each student as it relates to basic skills, development
of citizenship skills and attitudes, and the enrichment of learning through
academic challenges, cultural arts, and psychomotor activities.
We believe that:
(B) Children
not books should be taught; thus instilling in students a sense of self
worth and a respect for all human beings, creating a love of learning and
modeling values that make for productive members of society.
We believe that:
(C) Teaching
"How to find out" is more important than teaching accumulated facts. Ideally
our students will become lifelong learners.
We further believe that:
(D) Each
child is an individual. By using each opportunity to celebrate their differences,
we promote an environment where each child can be proud of who he/she is.
Finally we believe that all student regardless of prior knowledge or background,
are capable of learning. Based on the theory that "no one rises to low
expectations", we strive to create a learning environment that promotes
success for all students and staff.
