Act II: Scene IV
Commentary

In this scene Portia is worried about Caesar's life because she knows that Brutus has a petition that Caesar will not grant. Portia sends Lucius to the capitol to see if Caesar is well, sick, what he is doing, and who talks to him. Lucius is Portia's slave. He follows orders very well. This scene is put in the play because he wanted to show Portia's concern for Caesars life.
