Spirit Brooch

  The five pieces pictured above are approximately 1/2" inch high by 3" inches long and represent the five elements. Individually, each piece can be worn as a brooch or all five latch together to form a neckpiece. Using a little-known technique of colorization, the metal is colored with Prismacolor pencils. "Air" is fabricated in sterline silver and colored pale shades of blue and purple to emulate the idea of the spirits of air. "Earth" is fabricated in brass, colored in browns and greens. "Water" is fabricated in sterling silver, colored in greens and blues. "Fire" is fabricated in copper and colored in reds and oranges. Lastly, "Spirit" is the winged disk of the sun. The sun disk is 14k gold winged with sterling silver which is colored the rainbow spectrum. Individual elemental brooches are available on a commission basis.

Fire & Brimstone Collar: This is a collar piece with
the alchemical symbol for Brimstone set in the center
of the piece in sterling silver and niello. Flanking it is "Fire,"
fabricated in copper and "Air" fabricated in sterling silver.

 Tarot World

World & 3 of Sword Brooches (2" x 3" each): These two brooches
(pictured above and below) are a mere sampling of a set
which I completed for a gallery installation wherein I produced a piece of jewelry
for every card in the Tarot deck. Some, like the two you see here, were fully
elaborated brooches. Others were more simplified earrings and pendants.
Some people who work extensively with tarot cards like to have talismanic jewelry made
with a special card from the deck of their choice.

 Tarot Three of Swords
Bain Marie Colored Bain Marie: This is a sterling silver pendant
modeled after the alchemical apparatus, the Bain Marie.
It has been colored with Prismacolors.

Rune Necklace

Rune Necklace (1/2" high by 6" long) This is a necklace formed of individual Runes in sterling silver and 14k gold.
(The black cord on which it hangs cannot be seen.) This particular piece was commissioned by a lady who followed the Nordic path and who used these individual runes as amulets.
