The Power of Positive Thinking

To think positive is to be positive. To think negative is to be negative. Looking back on my life, I found these statements to be true. I can remember a time when I always felt down in the dumps. Every experience I had during this time turned out to be bad or negative. On my path of self-discovery, I came across an author of Self Help books that completely changed my life. Her name is Louise L. Hay. It is amazing how many people she has helped during her career. The lessons she concentrates on is loving yourself and being positive about yourself. She teaches you many positive affirmations and how to make them a part of your life. I noticed by saying these positive affirmations for only a week my life was beginning to change for the better.

Throughout our lives we pick up thought patterns. I like to call these thought patterns thought habits. These thought habits could start from your childhood. For example, you could have had a parent who constantly told you that you weren't good enough, or worthy enough. Those words will stick with you throughout your life, but only if you let them. Just as a person breaks his/her smoking habit, you too could break your thought habits. It is not easy, but with hard work and determination it can be done. Let me tell you what I do and the outcomes of my positivity.

Every night before I go to sleep, and every morning when I wake I thank my God and Goddess for guiding me on my spiritual path. I also thank them for guiding me through this Glorious Life! I then thank my Guardian Angelfor always being with me and for being there when I need assistance. Now it is time to say my positive affirmations. I start by thanking my body for all the work it did during the day, and for all the work it will do when I sleep. I assure myself that I am loved, lovable, loving, happy, joyous, and free. I also affirm that when I wake I will feel energetic, refreshed and ready to take on the challenges of the day. I also state that I am one with the very power that created me, and that everything I need to know will be revealed to me. I affirm that the universe always supplies for me and that I always have everything I need. I also assure myself that all good things happen to me and that I am always surrounded by positive, loving people. I assure myself that I always replace all negative thoughts and feeling with positive thoughts and feelings. I end by saying all is well in my world, as I will so mote it be!
