Chanting and prayers to the God of Gods rise from a multitude of priestly throats and reverberate from the lofty ceiling of the Cathedral. One by one with the solemn rites and blessings of the high Ethiopian clergy, He received the Gold-Embroidered Scarlet Robes, the Jeweled Sword, Imperial Gold Scepter, the Orb, the Diamond Encrusted Ring, and two Gold Filigree Lances in token of His position and responsibility. Following ancient customs, as when Samuel anointed David, and Zodak and Nathan anointed Solomon, so the Abuna anointed His Majesty's head with oil. Seven differently scented ointments of ancient prescription are received on the Imperial head, brow, and shoulders. He then concluded with the words, "That God make this Crown a Crown of Glory. That, by the Grace and the blessing that we have given you may have an Unshaken Faith and a Pure Heart, in order that you may inherit the Crown Eternal. So be it." The centuries seemed to have slipped suddenly

backwards into Biblical ritual. The assembly applauded their greeting, and the visiting naval band played the National Anthem, while outside cannons roared a salute of 101 guns, and cheer after cheer came from thousands of subjects massed in the vicinity of the Cathedral. The final ceremonies is a grand tour of the Cathedral by their Imperial Majesties. There are escorted by the bishops and priest, the princes and high dignitaries, assistants and others, carrying Palm Branches and chanting in Mighty Volume, "BLESSED BE THE KING OF ISRAEL." Israel's God is Israel's King is Israel's Guide is Israel's Protector is Israel's everything. This coronation was represented by delegates from all over the world, from every corner of the earth. For the Americans: They sent special Ambassador, Mr. H. Murray Jocoby,Brig. Gen. William Wright Harts, and Mr. Charles Lee Cooke, Department of State. All represented their nation at the coronation of  the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. The Might of the Trinity. Light of the World.

fruits of His loins, according to the flesh, He would rise up Christ to sit on His Throne.   (Acts 2:29)                            Judah, thou art He whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. (Genesis 49:8)                           The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. (Genesis 49:10)     Sceptre in this passage means ruler or king. The term lawgiver means one from God who has been given the task of imparting law to man; this could be a Christ, a prophet or an angel. And, the word Shiloh means, to him whom which it belongs. Notice that after King Solomon the bible no longer mentions the Ark of the Covenant.  The Ark was transferred to Ethiopia during the reign of King Solomon. Because of Solomon's sins, as well as the sins of the people, they were no longer considered worthy of keeping the Ark. So, JAH sent the Ark with Solomon's first born son, Menelik I. He, Menelik I, is the son of King Solomon and Makeda (Queen of Sheba).               Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God. (Psalm 68:31) Thus hath God made for the King of Ethiopia more glory, grace and majesty than for all the other kings of the earth because of the greatness of Zion, the Tabernacle of the Law of God, the heavenly Zion. (Kebra Negast 104^th  Chapt.) This is the rest of the story that the religious community has kept hidden from you.                  His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. My convenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie  unto David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Why Selassie I ?
Many of you who have read our newsletters have not read them all. Which may leave you with a gap to fill, as far as the information we provide. So, I will try to give you a summary. His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I is the 226^th great-grandson of the patriarch King David. JAH in his infinite wisdom made a promise to King David. Divine rulership was imparted to David's lineage through God Himself,                And the House of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.  (Zecharia12:8)           Yeshua (Jesus) did not sit upon an earthly throne while he was here, but Haile Selassie did. And, as you know, King David's lineage was of the tribe of Judah.
