TITLE: SAFELY DISPOSING OF THE WORLD'S WASTE
1 NOTING WITH REGRET that half of the world's landfills will be full by the year 2000,
2 and,
3 REALIZING that millions of tons of waste are produced each day by billions of people
4 in the world, and,
5 AWARE OF the fact that nearly 80% of the wastes are combustible, and,
6 DEEPLY CONVINCED that an incinerator, if run at an extremely high temperature,
7 could burn most wastes and domestic sewage, and,
8 BELIEVING that the heat generated from these incinerators could turn turbines
9 producing electricity for all citizens of the world.
10 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that all major cities of the world, with the help of
11 private corporations, the EPA, the WHO, the United Nations, and the cities
12 national government, be equipped with at least one high-burning incinerator.
13 THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER REXOLVED that all landfills, which are not by the
14 year 2000, be emptied and their contents be transported tot he nearest incinerator
15 where they will be disposed of.
