Thereafter Eurystheus had been frightened, he ordered Hercules to seize a certain wild boar which at that time ravaged the Erymanthium fields and terrified those people to the greatest rank. Hercules undertook the joyful task and received fast into Arcadia. After he proceed somewhat into the forest, he found the boar. However it saw Hercules at once, and immediately ran away with greatest speed and was overcome with great terror hiding himself in a ditch. Hercules then drew it out from the ditch and was able to free it by any manner, but it was returned alive to Eurystheus.
