Reality And Your Health
by Ra-Harakhte

Many people unfortunately place their spiritual life as being "separate" or distinct from their physical. Since all life is spiritual and the physical an outgrowth of such energy, to make them separate and individual is an error since they are both combined. The spiritual CREATES the physical. This is imperative when it comes to your health.

Your physical well-being, like the physical events that surround you, is also controlled by your Trinity of Thought (see Creating Your Own Reality). In fact, the health of your body is more quickly realized than physical/actualized events because your spirit is already enmeshed in the flesh (having direct contact with it). It is only because of certain mental beliefs and behaviors that health problems can hinder us. Now I am by no means suggesting that you will never get sick, or that people cannot get life debilitating diseases, but what I am suggesting is a regimen of spiritual thought processes that can radically reduce one's ability to contract illness and disease. Remember, since you are the living and breathing force of God from the pure potential of Nothing, you also have the ability to control your own health.

First of all, let's talk about why people do get sick and do contract diseases:

Because they believe they are powerless to prevent it

When we are inundated with television commercials touting health-care products, whether they be for colds and flu, weight loss, general nutritional support, then we are feeding to our minds the basic "hypnosis" these advertisements bring. We start to believe that one of these days we're going to get that severe flu (and have to take that specific product), or that you are fat and have to drink the tasteless milkshake.

To add to the commercials, we also have the popularity of hospital setting primetime shows. These also, believe it or not, help in bringing people to a lower state of health. Why? The doctors. The doctors themselves promote ill health. Now I know that statement seems a bit absurd, but if there was a time that we didn't have doctors, we would have less people reminding themselves to be sick and ill. When we look at a doctor, the first thing that flashes through our minds are the patients he/she must treat. In essence, since there are doctors, we believe that we must sometimes get sick. Otherwise, the world would not have any doctors, right?

On the surface, this may all seem trivial, but if we are constantly hit in the face with it every day over and over, the sheer repetition can be damaging. If we are reminded over and over about illness, then the possibility of getting sick inevitably becomes the question of when, which is the basic setup for the creation of physical/actualized events that will get you sick. Can you follow the Trinity of Thought there?

Of course, doctors and commercials are not the only reason people get sick. Another reason is the belief that the body simply is not strong enough to protect itself from illness. Though doctors and health-care commericals do supplement this concept, the concept itself is the real culprit. Whether this idea is generated from the standard "we sinned against God so our bodies are fallible" notion, or just the distrust of the body's functions, it still needs to be changed.

One must remember, the body is a self-correcting mechanism. If our body was not able to help itself, we would not heal when we get cut, we would not survive the countless viral attacks upon it just after birth. When we put our faith in drugs and supplements, we are giving our bodies over to the negative impact of receiving illness, whether it needs it or not. There are some people who must consistently take their vitamins and supplements every day, and not necessarily to treat any condition. They take them just because "my body needs it." There may be absolutely nothing wrong with the body, but since they distrust it, they must take their medications. In all reality, it is not their body they are helping, just their minds. They are trying to appease their beliefs, and naturally will allow themselves to get sick.

There are, however, times that it seems you cannot avoid illness. Don't take this as proof of your body's fallibility. Sometimes we get sick as a way of telling ourselves to slow down, to look at what's going on in our lives. Sometimes getting sick physically is a great way to heal mentally and even spiritually. Sometimes a "shock" is needed to bring the body to a balanced state that would otherwise not be achieved. When this happens, try to relax through the experience and let the energies flow. Give yourself some time, If, after a few days you feel you cannot get better without the aid of stimulants, then by all means, take them. But don't let the belief in your body become an issue of distrust. Remember, your body is the temple in which you, the energy of God, reside and are immersed.

"Since I am the active force of God, I generate also my own body. I keep it in good health and allow it to reflect the beauty of my soul. It is clean and pure and exists in harmony with the soul of universe."
