In Numbers 15:35, 36, God instructs Moses to stone to death three million people, all because of one man. In 1 Chronicles 21:2, 7, 14, God kills over seventy thousand because of a silly census taking. In 1 Samuel 5:8, 9 God strikes an entire city of men with hemorrhoids . . . He "tests" Abraham in Genesis when he should already know his loyalty, he puts the tree in the Garden, when he should know the outcome, and then asks "Where art thou?"

What kind of a God does all this? And we are suppose to love and trust him?

When one looks at God, it is easy to see that we as humans today are God's MORAL and INTELLECTUAL superiors -- which means this God is a complete waste of paper and belief. It's all backwards!! This God does not in any way represent how a TRUE creator of the universe would behave and think and communicate with his creations. He DOES, however, fit how people 2000 years ago DID behave, in a patriarchal society, monarchial in its political paradigm, and where war, revenge, retribution were the name of the game. That's why this Bible was Doomed from the start at trying to Holy civilize humanity. It sprang from a culture that in itself was not civilized at all.

As long as we use this book as the paradigm for our own lives in the 20th century and the next millennium, then we also condemn ourselves to its vices. That means although we may physically live in this advanced age, our minds and souls still cling to an era where men believed the earth was flat and epilepsy was demonic possession, where the society still engaged in war, deceit, and treachory. Gee, I think we still do today, proving the Book hasn't changed us at all, and may in fact be part of the problem.

Everyone can agree that this planet and its people need to come together as one, in harmony and unity. Unfortunately, the Bible doesn't agree. For this system of religion, at its most basic level, will always propagate separation through the concept of SAINT and SINNER. As long as the Bible is around, those two opposing forces will continue to be taught, continued to be maintained not only on a mental and psychic level, but also social as well.

Every Christian today will tell you "You will burn in Hell for not accepting Christ." "Those who accept Christ are righteous." They automatically contribute to the separation of humanity!! They not only JUDGE you with such lines, but also maintain the lines of bigotry and world racism. That alone keeps the Bible's cause of unity from ever -- and I do mean EVER -- happening.

And history itself backs this up, with the more than over 200 million deaths by such "righteous" believers. Every corpse stricken by the hand of a religionist will vouch for it. Instead of accepting people with love and kindness, they instead kill with Saint and Sinner bigotry.

To fully show the awful validity of the Church and religion, go back to that parable that Jesus himself spoke of: The Good tree bearing the good fruit. Jesus said: "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil frit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Matt 7:17-20. Well, in reflection of the hideous and bloody tortures, murder, racism and bigotry as brought forth by this religion and its Book, it is clear that it is the most heinous corruption yet devised by man -- and yes, it does need to be chopped down and hewn into the fire.

As a book of literature, it is great in that it shows us how mankind used to believe in the past, I will not deny that. It does give us a glimpse into the minds of men so long ago. But as a tool for belief in modern times, it is a complete tragedy and decadent to the mind and soul of humanity. We should leave it as the historical window to the past of men's minds, and not take it as a guide for today, 'cause, as we can see, today needs something MUCH BETTER than hymns and threats of eternal damnation.

Quite frankly, since it was written in a time period of conquerors, deceit, treachory, and generally ignorant and war-mongering people, it was doomed from the start at civilizing all of humanity for all time. It is not clear, it is often contradictory . . . It's morals do not stand up in today's society when God does such heinous crimes as those listed above.

It's time to take a REAL HONEST LOOK into SPIRITUALITY . . . What it IS and what it MEANS. To discover what we REALLY are. I guarantee, we are not lost sheep -- There's nothing more degrading than being considered a barnyard animal.
