Welcome to the library. This is where you can find reports by myself and others (hopefully others) on various works of literature, in the form of a "Book of the Month Club". Except that it won't be every month.
I am also giving a list of books that I recommend to anyone with the same interests as myself, and links to sites that I think are worth visiting, such as the Amazon Online Bookstore, for those of you with money to spend.
Poetry Section--
Book Section - A Series of Unfortunate Events, by Lemony Snicket
This series is just delightful. It is so much fun to read them. The author has a great sense of humour and a good, consistent style. They are aimed primarily at children, but they can be equally enjoyed by readers of any age. In the first book of the series, "The Bad Beginning", the Baudelaire children (Violet, Klaus and Sunny) are orphaned when their parents die in the fire that consumes their home. The ensuing adventures (or misadventures, more accurately), follow from the fact that a rather tenuously related Count Olaf is constantly after the siblings, attempting various evil plots in order to get his sticky hands on the Baudelaire fortune, which is quite considerable. At the end of each book, the Baudelaires always just manage to escape, no thanks to the bumbling adults entrusted with their care.Read the books and send me your impressions.
