Keris is usually fast asleep by 8:30 p.m., and pretty much stays asleep all night, and I am a very lucky mother for this. Last night, however, she decided to practice her newfound almost-crawling skills as soon as she got into bed, and kept at it for about an hour -- just playing! She might not need that much sleep at night, but I DO! So I woke up dragging ass this morning and now am pretty sure I'm coming down with something awful that promises to make my weekend miserable. So much for my Atlanta trip -- I can barely breathe, never mind drive for four hours.
I can't even be that upset at Keris for wiggling around for so long last night, because I could see how much fun she was having even through my heavy, half-mast eyelids. It's been amazing to watch her go from this half-blind, helpless, squirming wet thing to a smiling, sturdy, active 6 month old. And she's just perfect. Night-crawling and all.
