God, I hate this damn job. Working with all of these officers isn't the problem -- it's their secretaries and runners and ... sycophants. Phht. I used to complain about my various jobs as a civilian, but I have NEVER done so much varied work under such short suspenses before in my life, and I can't just walk out of the job like I used to. Frustrating. Plus I could ask for a raise before, and now it just doesn't work like that. And the big killer is that hardly any of this translates very well into a civilian resume... um, I can drive a Humvee and screen an Officer Evaluation Report and shoot an azimuth and fire an M16 and update an Officer Record Brief. Do you want fries with that?
