Welcome to the enduring world of some exceptional young fellows and their family members

The News Bjoro is a byline highlighting the high jinks and antics, as well as some special information about some really great kids. Featured as always are three dear and growing youngsters; their interests, play, school activities, delights, amazing characteristics, and personalities as experienced and seen by less than disinterested reporters. Some other kids will pop up from time to time that also have a special place in the hearts of those close to us so all will have to keep tuned to the happenings. We provide some insight into what is going on with all these guys and let them tell you about how they see things. We won't guarantee verbatim interviews, but we bet we'll be close to letting out some of their zany or perceptive secrets. Let's see, what's going on now? We begin as usual by updating our readers. Let's have our feature three tell us about themselves.

Christopher
"Hi! I'm Christopher. I'm eleven years old and live in Sykesville/Eldersberg, Maryland with my family. I'm in the fifth grade in middle school and like cool stuff we do there like math and science. I'm a 1st degree junior black belt in Karate and really like to practice my kicks and moves, but I know I only can do that for real in Karate class. I also am a Boy Scout and have 5 merit badges already and my Mom is our Assistant Scout Mother. My Pop-Pop GA lives in Florida and he is real proud of me. I like to ride my bike and play baseball and shoot baskets with my Dad who is really a good player. My Mom is fun, too, and takes good care of our family.
I like to play baseball and was on the A's team this year. I'm a good batter, too. My Dad was one of our coaches so he helps me learn a lot. I am doing really good in school this year and like my teacher, Ms. Phillips. I have my own E-mail address at home and use the computer for games and my lessons. I really like that. My Pop-Pop GA is putting a photo album for me here on the on the WEB and I am going to add pictures to it. I'll tell you more later, gator."

Matthew

"Hello to everybody. My name is Matthew, but my Mom calls me Matty. I'm eight years old and can do a lot of things real good. I ride my bike and roller blade and board ski and am really good at crafts. I am in the third grade at school and have fun doing all my school stuff. I can do real good at spelling and reading. My Pop-Pop GA in Florida calls me on the phone all the time to tell me he misses me. I miss him, too. We visited him last Easter for his birthday party and then went there in the summer, too. I like Disneyland and swimmin' in the pool. I know how to do magic and tricks with a penny. My POP-POP GA taught me some rope knots, too. For Halloween. I used to be a Ninja, now I'm a scary ghoul now. And, I'm funny, ha, ha. Easter will soon be her again and maybe we will go to Florida. Pop-Pop GA visited us for Christmas and we had a lot of presents and candy and stuff and it snowed on Christmas Eve and Day. We had a big pumpkin on Halloween and we made a face on it and put a light in it. It looked real funny. Ha Ha!"

Ryan
"Hi, I'm Ryan and I'm six years old. My PoP-PoP GA says he likes this picture of me in my football suit. Mommy says I like gettin' into everything. I am in the first grade and I can do lots of stuff anyhow. I'm a good water bird and love to go in the pool and I can swim in the deep end and go surfing in the ocean. I love my Mommy and Daddy. I know my Pop-Pop GA misses me and I went to see him in Florida this summer. Maybe we will visit him again next summer or some time. I like to swim in his pool. He is coming to see me on Christmas to be sure Santa Claus gets here and bring me lots of presents. I love all my family. I love everybody."

So now we know something about those kids and we think they are extra special... and smart, too. We'll ask them to tell us more about Mom and Dad in our next issue. Right now, let's get an update from those parents and some family. We understand they're also pretty special.

Hey folks, how about some idea of what the parents and other family think of these kids:

  • Mom, "All of the boys are really growing and I can't keep up with their clothes. They keep me running after them all the time! They wear me out, but their are so cute. Ryan is getting to be a big boy now and can look out for himself better, but he still is a trip. He will be good when he is good and really bad when he is bad, but he's always sorry when he does something he shouldn't. I love him just the same as all my boys. Matthew is doing very well in school with his work but seems to get on the wrong side of a teacher once in a while. He is working on improving that though. Chris is a good student and helps me with the other guys. He has learned a lot about things in the last year and is a Boy Scout now and I know I can trust him to be a big help. He seems to understand what I need him to do really well. All my boys are just the greatest."

  • Dad, "Chris is my big boy and we go to ballgames and shoot baskets and he helps me in the yard when I need him. He's really a great older brother. Matthew helps too and he likes to go to the park and to the ball games with us. We have to remind him to be careful because he likes to do eveything. Ryan we have to watch more but he is pretty good if the other boys are around to play with him and watch out for him. They're my boys and they are wonderful in my eyes."
  • Mom-Mom Jan, "Oh, I don't know. They're different from the kids I teach. The three of them are almost like a class of twenty-five. I guess they're fine. I don't see them a lot they are always on the go, so I don't know."
  • Pop-Pop GA, "Greatest kids I know. I'm just glad they are healthy and active and able. Kids have to be given lots of opportunity to grow and learn, but they take careful watching and guarding to protect them properly. I have to leave that to the parents. They sure seem to do an excellent job of that. I just like to watch them grow and enjoy them any time I can be with them, not enough unfortunately. They're my heart and soul certainly and I can't do without either of them. I look forward to finding out what they are doing anytime I can"

  • Other kids we love
