The Archangels

 

     These have many names as well but are most commonly known as:

 

Raphael      Michael      Gabriel      Ariel      

 

     Many know these names as planetary deities, others as the angels of God, and then there are some that know of them as the guardians of the four quarters. With the addition of Arch in their title it elevates them in belief to be more powerful than an angel and they are supposed to have free will as well.

    With many more associations and with many visual imagery I have chosen to list the following information as a combination from many paths. If you know of some information that you feel should be here please send it in. Thank you.

 

Raphael:   Is the guardian of air and is represented as wearing yellow robes with highlights of purple, royal purple. He carries the caduceus wand and generally stands upon a hill with the breezes coming down from it. Upon the Tree of Life he is represented in the sephiroth of hod. One way of saying his name is: Ra- fae- EL.

 

Michael:   Is the guardian of fire and is represented as wearing scarlet robes with highlights of green. He carries the flaming sword as he comes over from the hilltops. Upon the Tree of Life he is represented in the sephiroth of Tiphareth/ Tifferet. One way of saying his name is: Mee - kI -EL.

 

Gabriel:   Is the guardian of water and is represented as wearing blue robes with highlights of orange. He carries a chalice with water fountains all about him. Upon the Tree of Life he is represented in the sephiroth of Yesod. One way of saying his name is: Gaa - bree - EL.

 

Ariel:  Is the guardian of earth and is represented as wearing green and brown robes. He carries sheaves of wheat as he stands in a meadow. Upon the Tree of Life he is represented in the sephiroth of Netzach. One way of saying his name is: Or - rae - EL or even Au- rae - EL.
