"..And death is also a Deity.
We worship the sun for it gives us light
and the moon for it gives us the mysteries,
The mysteries we feel and know;
but Death is also a Deity,
and we see him wherever we go.
We worship the nile and the down-pouring rain,
for their blessing and mercy, Like gentle hands,
over our lands do pass;
but Death is also a Deity,
and he never had mercy for us.
We worship the gods that Do rule this land
and the Gods of the hearth and the house, Who are here -
to bestow on our love their grace;
but Death is also a Deity
and we'd rather not see his face..
All gods we have put above us
for blessings come from above
and we know how to worship Those who lend,
But death has nothing to give us
nor does he hover the Godly skies
But he strides and roams the land.
Then how do we worship this God?
All gods let their wrath with our sacrifice pass
But he lets go when the sacrifice is US!
Then let us worship him the way he understands,
proud, and merciless and cussed:
Death! You are also our Deity!
and we shall defy you to the last!"
