solo

Singing a duet with a woman
I knew could only sing alone;
I tried to persuade her to come midways:
and we met by the sunset tide.

Red waves licked our feet
Red sun touched our kiss.
Our lips parted, and our hands.
She sang by the waves the song of her body,
and I became afraid.
"Your soul is too loud for me," I said.

"The meaning of your loneliness
Is that you need a duet,"
she smiled and went away. I did not follow.
It's true. I cannot sing Solo.
