Up in a mountain I live with my mate

I am a stipedog, that is true
Though I didn't fight the one eyes of blue
I'm taller than any mouse for a start
I am a peaceful creature at heart
But when trouble strikes I will be near

i'm an inatimate object but am the source of happiness
i reside in mossflower's quiet restfulness

I am the wisest of the wise as a babe redwallers loved my bright eyes, I became the lord of salamandastron after that I could do no wrong as a babe I acted like a putz i ran around all day yelling nutz

I happen to be a very loud gel
I can laugh louder than the Joseph bell
I aided Joseph on his quest down south
and, given the chance, i'd slap the Foxwolf in the mouth

I was born & bred in small little cave
Soon that became my fathers grave.
I left my old life behind me,
To fight oppresion and be free.
I made my way to a mouse, Martin, guardian of Redwall.

I soon found a new home, a peacefull place to live,
I nolonger want to kill I just want to give life.
