Newsletter
January
Dear members,
It's nice to be back. I was on vacation for a week, and then had to start school right away, so it took me awhile to finish the updates. I'm all caught up now, though, so don't worry about sending things in.
What's new;
1.The tribute has been changed to Basil Stag Hare and Fortunata. Check it out, and send some stuff in, it's quick points!
2.I have finally put up a new excerpt, a nice one from Mattimeo.
3.We got 2 new awards in case you havn't seen them.
4.There are some new literary elements up on the Writers Dictionary. It really helps your writing, so I would read the writers dictionary whenever you need it.
5.There are 4 new writing tips up.
6.The bookstore should load faster now. If not, please e-amil me.
7.There is a new page that has been added to the Writers dictionary all about short stories, it should really help improve your writing!
What's important;
1.Last newsletter we told you about our new policy for dealing with inactive members. Warnings will be sent out directly after this newsletter, so either participate, tell me why you havn't been, or you will be deleted and not allowed back in! If you only want to be excluded from participation for a little while due to extra work, ext. e-mail me and you can be excused for a while [put in cold storage if you will].
2.Sheike earned the Redwall Writers Elite Writers award. Congratulations!
3.Saldar has an important message for you;
I am incredibly tired of seeing the same type of writing entered into Redwall Pages over the 'net. Oh, sure, they change the animals and names...but its all one big copy of Redwall. I am rapidly losing interest because of this...these people try to copy Jacques, but he's the only one who can do it correct( his style). I think that there is no attempt needed to write a story for Redwall Writers or any other club on the internet. If people are real writers, how about using their own style.
[See the new short stories page, and
use your own style, and try expanding to other genres beside action!]
kybo, Baggtrot, Saldar, Danny Honeyglider
ps. Please visit Loamhedge Abbey
as it will more then likely become incorporated into the this club, unless one of you want to take over running it.
