By Fernando Moura Are you a boxing fan? Well if you are, start leaning away towards those pros and start leaning towards Central High School's number one boxer, Alex Vicens. This talented young boxer is 16 years old and has been boxing since he was 6 years old. I don't know about you but I know who my next bodyguard is going to be. Vicens has fought 45 matches, won 44, and lost 1. Vicens has fought out of the country in Spain, Brazil, and Puerto Rico. He has won all three matches out of the country. Vicens said, that he first got interested in boxing when he came from Puerto Rico at six years old. "Boxing was the only sport that I liked at the time. I was too chubby and boxing helped me get skinnier, faster, and stronger," he said. Vicens is a marvelous boxer and if you want to see him box then come on down to the Police Athletic League on Airfield Avenue in Bridgeport where he trains. George Ruse is his trainer. |
