Equal
Rights For All

Welcome
to the "Equal Rights For All" page. The purpose of this page is to
inform people of the struggle that African Americans had to endure through
the years and continue to have to struggle with today. Although this
was a troubling time for all Americans, many African Americans were abused
physically and thrown in jail for their peaceful demonstrations.
Not only were African Americans abused, but so were the people who tried
to help them win their fight. There was no gray area in those days,
just black and white, and sometimes I wonder if it is still like that today.
The primary
focus of this page is The Civil Rights Movement, which mostly took place
during the sixties. During this period America changed. "Equal
rights for all" is what the United States was founded on. The Civil
Rights Movement was a small, but effective stepping stone that would lead
America to what it was supposed to be. Although there are still many
flaws within this country, there is still hope that one day the ultimate
goal for equality will be achieved.
I hope this
page is helpful to those who wish to learn more about this era. My
personal goal is to provide as accurate information as possible, but if
