August Angst

The last days of warmth and summer go drifting by...
So much that needs to be accomplished
So much that wants to be accomplished
Before the snow and cold
and enjoy before it’s too late
oh so few precious days.
Now is the time to decide
Between shoulds and wants
Between waiting and doing
Between enjoying and worrying
Between relaxing and trying to squeeze it all in.
The calendar taunts the coming winter
While shouting to enjoy the last month of summer.
