VI. Conclusion

Clive Staples "Jack" Lewis was once quoted by saying that he did not want anyone to fuss over him when he finally died on Friday November 22, 1963. This date may ring a bell to some people who can remember what tragic event happened in 1963. November 22, a President named John F. Kennedy was parading through the streets of Dallas, Texas and was shot and killed. Lewis died of after a variety of ailments having to do with kidney problems and a heart attack. However he did get his wish of not causing a commotion as he died in his home, The Kilns. Even so, Lewis does live on to this day. It is another coincidence that this paper is being written in 1998 because people all over the world are celebrating the centenary of Lewis's birth in 1898. The Mythopoeic Society will hold a "C. S. Lewis: A Centenary Celebration" this summer (Farrell). They will celebrate basically what this paper has dealt with: his life and all its aspects, his works whether they be on Christianity or fiction, and how others been affected by Lewis's life.
