Neith's Bio Details and Personal Philosophy
JulY 2004 Oops still UNDER RECONSRTRUCTION!!!

More Recent Photo of Neith

"Neith" has an MA in Classics (I read Latin and Greek,: Classical, Koine /NT and Modern)plus an active interest in ancient cultures, prehistoric, classical, Eastern or Western. The Greeks regarded Neith as the Egyptian equivalent of Athena,(Latin/Roman Minerva)the patron goddess of the arts and the city of Athens so I choose this name for the net since it reflects both my Egyptological and Classical interests. I also love Star Trek and enjoy written science fiction and fantasy as well as the classics. Would you like to read A Note about Neith an article about the Egyptian goddess?

Aaargh that's "interests" NOT Bio!

Okay I'm over 45 but under 50, Gemini, Sun and Ascendant, born in the last ten days of May and a Wood Fire Rooster in the East Asian Zodiac. There are freckles and more than a few lines under the makeup and the rest of me is about a fluctating size 14 - 16 (Australian dress size so about a 12 American)! I was born in Sydney Australia, lived there most of my life, and have travelled overseas in Asia and Europe and America before the dollar dropped and when I had a fulltime job and could afford to travel

A warning and disclaimer

- the placement of a portrait shot on this page is NOT an invitation to cybersex or any form of online harassment. It's placed there for friends and potential employers - I work as an artists' model.
(If you're a life drawing teacher or artist based in Sydney I can provide references from TAFE and artists I work for)
If you're an agent I have completed one ad and have an Extras Equity card.

Books: Science fiction and fantasy, good historical fantasy or alternative history, and historical crime novels. The Classics, Japanese poetry, tanka or haiku, Tang Dynasty verse, preferably in a bilingual format so I can limp through the original text with a dictionary, more classics!
I also love Scots (Lallans) poetry and have several anthologies of Scots verse and the Faber edition of the works of Dunbar. A really great out of print book worth hunting for is John Buchan - yes the 39 steps Buchan - anthology - The Northern Muse!

Maybe it would be quicker if you just visited these files:
the Books 1999 List and the Books 2000 List which lists what I consider to be the most outstanding useful or interesting books I read in 1999 and 2000. NOTE TO SELF ADD TO THIS !!!

Cats and Dogs - I'm ambizooic!

Things I really loathe

Waffling onwards - yes I am being ironic - this page will be changed whenever I feel like it so visit again!

Literary Interests

As well as the Classics and Sf/F I also read Philosophy and I'm interested in Taoism and Zen Buddhism.
