Every witch has a personal journal in which spells, songs, rituals, lore, laws, and other bits of information are recorded. Some traditions have their very own Book, which only coven members are allowed to see and hand copy, after swearing not to show it to anyone else! With the wide range of available information in books and on the internet, solitares and newly formed covens alike are taking it upon themselves to construct their very own Books. There are no hard and fast rules, but there are some things every Book has in it. Here is a common layout design you can follow:
You can hand write or type your book, use a simple blank journal bought from a book store or an elaborate bound set of parchment sheets. There is even a growing number of witches who store their Books on disk...though I highly recommend that, if you choose to do this, you also have a printed copy for use in the circle and also in case your disk gets fried.
Below are items you will find useful. Some are from my own Book and some I have collected from various sources. Remember, feel free to adapt these spells and rituals to suit your needs, as only you know what will work best for you!
