sure, why not? |

What is this? |
This
month: |
|
This is, or at least I’m determined to make it into, a monthly
publication of random ideas, poetry, politics, short fiction, non-fiction, artwork, sports, entertainment,
journalism, girls, boys, gardening tips, and pretty much everything else
under the pretty rainbow of human accomplishment. True, it’s pretty much a necessity these days to have some
specific angle, some field of concentration, and so it’s questionable whether
something with so eclectic a scope would ever get off the ground. This does not phase me. If such is the case, I will have tried and failed; such humbling
experiences build character. And God knows one can never have too much
character. So I will see how this thing evolves, if at all (websites are
as numerous as assholes these days, if you’ll pardon the French), and go from
there. God, my resignation to keep this thing politically correct is
rapidly deteriorating. As is any structure to this introduction. I’ll shut up and let you browse; how about that? A. August 5, 2001 |
Editorial - It’s what those hippies were so terrified of: now, horribly true. Editorial on today’s unsettling international events, with a particular concentration on G.W. Bush. |

“Chinese Whispers”: Tracking Drug Hysteria This article from
Ecstasy.org traces the media frenzy sparked by preliminary findings on the
neurotoxicity of MDMA, a commonly utilized psychoactive substance, using PET
evidence. This is a fine illustration of just how tainted some of your
trusted news sources can be, especially when quoting science they have little
idea about. |

Israeli tanks
roll into Ramallah. |
The Conformer takes a look
at the Holy Land, its history, its present conflict, and speculations as to
what exactly it is that could be |
|
perpetuating the violence
that so baffles the western world. With references to sources much better
informed, perhaps, than are we. |
