Before I can close my eyes
My mind paints a picture of you
So I may forever envision your face
For my vision of you is all I have
Until I am in the presence of your warm embrace
Could it be you mean everything to me?
Or should I sum this up as just a dream
For you are neither here nor there
Eyes wide open and I cannot find you anywhere
But with eyes wide shut I see you clear as day
Even then, I cannot find the right words to say
You see the mere thought of you
Makes my stomach turn with anticipation
One second without you makes me feel
As if I've been forever waiting
