The Full Moon is when the moon is most powerful in its waxing state. Full Moon magick can take one Full Moon cycle to come to completion. Spells appropriate for the Waxing Moon can still be cast as long as they are cast BEFORE the exact time the moon becomes full.
Waning Moon
The 14 day period from the Full Moon to the Dark Moon when the moons becomes less visible in the sky every night. Waning Moon lunar energy is used to cast spells to remove negative things from your life like bad habits, illnesses or negative emotions.
Dark Moon
The Dark Moon also known as the Black Moon is the 3 day period before the New Moon when there is no moon visible in the sky. The Dark Moon can be used for banishing spells etc....but traditionally this is not a time for working spells ...but a time to rest and to avoid magick altogether.
Blue Moon
This is the moon that is the second Full Moon to appear in one month. It is a moon for setting goals and reviewing accomplishments.
