A sluggish beast goes home.
Before sunrise, I awake, stumbled drowsily to the stereo and lowered the volume; it is my alarm clock. I am traveling to
La Ceiba today. Tripping over shoes and scattered clothes, I make my way to the bathroom, flipping light switches; I am
a groggy growling beast. Yet, instead of preparing for the trip, after a moment I sneak back to my warm bed and snuggle
beneath the covers.
Once again I rise from my rest, but this time I succeed. A fresh shower reestablishes my humanity. I begin to order my
room, and phone the bus company to make a reservation (I had neglected to do so earlier). I am now ready for a refreshing
visit to my hometown.
