Disclaimer and Instructions
- Cost is $8.00 per person (all ages, 1 and older), pre-paid reservations only.
- Open seating; sorry, space is limited, so you may not be seated together.
- Passengers must be ready to board The Polar Express no later than 30 minutes prior to departure.
- Trains cannot be held for late arrivals as locomotive and coach maintenance must be performed between each departure, so plan accordingly.
- Boarding passes will not be mailed after November 30, but will be held for "will-call".
- You may pick up paid tickets at the Steamtown NHS Ticket and Information Center in Scranton between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily OR you may pick them up on the date of your departure. If you decide to wait until the departure date to pick up tickets, they must be claimed no later than 1 hour prior to scheduled departure (i.e. tickets for a 6:30 pm departure not claimed by 5:30 pm will be forfeited).
- "Will-call" tickets unclaimed 1 hour prior to departure will not be refunded and the newly available seats will be resold to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis ("stand-by" lists may be used each departure date).
- Early reservations are strongly recommended as most departures during our 1999 event "sold-out" well in advance, and 2000 departures are filling fast!

Phone reservations via credit card (MasterCard or Visa only) opened at 9:30 am on Monday, October 2, and many departures SOLD OUT quickly.
On November 18, we added an additional coach to each train in order to accommodate as many guests as possible! Tickets may also be purchased with cash or credit card at the Park's Ticket & Information Center daily, 9:30 am - 4:00 pm.
