Philosophical texts 'n stuff.

So far, I've collected quite a bit of fun reading material. Most of it came from the Philosophy Text Collection of the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy.Yahoo also has a listing of online philosophical texts.

To reduce download times, stuffed copies of these texts have been prepared. Most of these links point directly to the original archive, so if they don't work, check their site first.

Philosopher Title Text Stuffed
Aristotle Athenian Constitution 146K 51K
Aristotle Nicomachean Ethics 478K 156K
Aristotle Politics 506K 173K
John Locke Second Treatise of Government 321K 111K
J.S. Mill On Liberty 288K 105K
Plato Crito 36K N/A
Plato The Republic 682K 237K

Despite the relative ease of searching philosophical texts online for certain key words, often thery were translated by different people, resulting in very different vocabularies used. However, usually only one translation makes it onto the Internet. Often, a library will provide more variety.
There, I've said my piece.
