My favourite music.

"The man that hath no music in himself
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils."

or

"If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die."

By way of introduction, and in complete agreement with Shakespearean audacity expressed above (The Merchant of Venice and Twelfth Night respectively), music fits all situations and attitudes. There is music for the bedroom and love-making; there is music for the cries on the battlefield; joyous music, funeral music, ...... the list is endless.

I must declare from the outset that I cannot write or read music, but I am only a good listener. Therefore the more that music is appealing to the senses, the more I like it. What you may describe as a connoisseur, if ever there was one!

The following list, certainly not an exhaustive score, is randomly ordered.Depending on moods, on situations, on momentary whims and fancies, the choice for preferences is unpredictable, but enjoyable all the same.

  1. Modern Musicals;
  2. Relatively older musicals;
  3. Classical;
  4. Semi-Classical;
  5. Opera;
  6. Operettas;
  7. Ethnic;
  8. Country and Western;
  9. Light Music;
  10. Songs.

I preferred not to go into the details of the names of composers, lyrics writers, names of orchestras, singers, and detailed references not to influence in any way all those who access this page - choices and preferences, in my view, should be a very personalised matter, and left entirely to the discretion of the user.
