Dear Waterkin,
I want to thank all those who attended my 40th Birthday Redux Bash. 45 of us wined and dined under the tent out back. At Starwood, Richard shone brightly. Every time we needed something else, he rummaged around his van and trailer and came up with a solution. His helpfulness and support of the community were greatly appreciated. Bob and Karen made a very nice banner for Spirit Weavers. I received a number of positive comments regarding it at both Starwood and Summerset.
Boy, talk about the appropriateness of the title of this column! I need to apologize for the inconsistent manner in which I have been able to host events the past four months. With starting a new company, the death of a friend and unexpected travel and employment opportunities I have missed not only Spirit Gathering but a couple of events that were to be held at my home. I hope that things settle down soon. When that happens I'll be able to host rituals and events again. More thanks go to Steve, Karen, Bob, Peggy and Jim for stepping in where I fell short.
I was able to participate as a cast member in the CAW Mysteries this year. It was a very fulfilling spiritual experience for me and quite powerful. The pilgrims progressed through the ordeal sometimes with grace and other times with whatever they could muster. I hope that we are able to provide a location east of the Rockies next September. Does anyone know of any caves where we can do an all night ritual?
Someone recently commented to me that our calendar seemed to be filled with non-spiritual events. I mentioned that most of the serious ritual and magickal events are not listed in the public calendar. Spirit Weavers is a community. A place where one can find like souls for deeper sharing and ritual. We provide an atmosphere where folks can be comfortable coming to know one another. Who knows what magick can occur between folks when the barriers are allowed to drop?
