Into The Fire
by Ronn Walks With Fire

Dear Waterkin,

What a tumultuous spring! Many things have sprouted and taken root. We'll certainly see a bountiful harvest this autumn! Many nestmates have seen intense changes in their lives this past winter. Growth is not always fun and it usually is not easy but the rewards can be great. As the summer progresses, take time to fill your spirit with the fruits of each day.

The Pagan Auction last month raised $377! However, that figure could be adjusted up or down based upon the performance of some of the merchandise. $102 has been received by Spirit Weavers so far.

I have been nominated for one of the Member-At-Large positions on the CAW Board of Directors. Watch your Scarlet Flame for ballots. Now, I'm not at all certain what "member-at-large" means. Do I need to gain weight to fit the position or does it mean that I can roam freely until caught? You let me know how you desire me to represent you and I'll largely do my best.

Aeona is spearheading an effort to effect the vision of having a CAW organizational presence in the Midwest and Eastern portions of the continent. I believe this is a very positive endeavor for CAW as a national and international organization and the nests and members who reside here. Membership would still be handled by CAW in California but a more local organization would be in place to deal with questions, situations, rites, festivals and issues. If you desire to assist in the organization of this area of CAW, contact Aeona Silversong or at Haven, 272 Spruce Dr., Keyser, WV 26726, (304) 788-6440.

The next issue of CAWBWEB is Autumn 1997. Please have submissions to me by September 7, 1997.

May you never thirst!
