Ronnie Freeman

Welcome to the newest release from Rockettown records.  The label that has given us Watermark, Chris Rice, Ginny Owens, Shaun Groves, and others gives us Ronnie Freeman.  Freeman delivers a CD filled with piano driven pop that sometimes sounds like Wayne Watson, other times sounds a lot like Michael W. Smith.  Lyrically this CD is solid from start to finish.  The first track, "Faith" gets things started talking about faith is being sure of God.  The second song, "Could It Be" asks if it could be that he is the one who is not listening to God and asks if the problem with his relationship with God is Him.  He asks, "Could it be me?"  This song and many others on this CD are extremely radio friendly.  The one difficulty is that everything that stands out about this CD seems to stand out just as well on other releases by other artists.  There are quite a few male singer songwriters in CCM and Freeman does not carve any new ground.

For a first CD, Ronnie Freeman shines and I cannot wait to see what he does with his next CD.
