The Sambo's restaurant at Pine Hill and Airport boulevard went bankrupt because of:
a) Desegregation b) The name was not "politically correct" c) It was impossible to make a left turn onto Airport Boulevard d) All of its customers either went off to college or moved to Birmingham

where's e) ??

Aha! Rob gets all the ISOPoints on this one. Now the REAL question. What is e?
------------------------------
I say its E - All of the Above plus the lack of profit in offering free lifetime refills if you buy a coffee-cup (a policy sure to attract every hippie and beatnick in the entire southeast).
I incidentally have no less than three ORIGINAL Sambo's coffee mugs just waiting for the grand reopening so's I can get me some free coffee.

So THAT's where they are!
I am more than 100 percent sure that the young PK was not physically present whrn the mugs were originally obtained by the Karass.
------------------------------
I may not have been there when they were "physically acquired" however I do have fond memories of watching you budding caffeine addicts stoically advancing your addictions whilst I involved myself in hyperactive activities, pestering everyone about when we could get back to ISO-central where the terrain was more kid-friendly.
I seem to recall the paintings (or posters) lining the wall illustrating the story of Sambo and the tigers....at the time I was in parochial(?) school and often wondered how the characters of the twelve stations of the cross could have possibly gotten translated into little brown children and big furry kitties.
The ending was more attractive, I'll take a puddle of butter over a corpse any day.
Flickering PK.
------------------------------
Very good! I had forgotten about those.
But did't Sambo's just change their name? But I can't remember to what...

I though it was something about a health dept issue with something to do with brown paper bags.
